black mac mini
Even though its not a mac mini and will be running a linux os Unraid, the name was inspired by a video I saw about how to cluster mac minis to beef up your local LLM capabilities. After a bit more research, I came to the realization that I could just get an M4 Pro Mac Mini and use that as a node that I can access from my Macbook. Looking at the pricetag... woof! $1500. So I set out on trying to build my own from parts that I either already had, got for free from work, or bought used on ebay. Here is a list of stuff so far:
